A drinking club with a running/walking problem.
You live/work/are visiting in Nha Trang and want to meet other fun-loving locals? The Nha Trang Hash House Harriers meet every Sunday at 14:30 at Monaco Coffee (address: 14b Lam Son, Phuoc Hoa, Nha Trang City, Khanh Hoa Province – Google Maps). Bus leaves at 15:00hr sharp.
HASHing is NOT:
- Not a tour with booking services for tourists, but a non-profit club.
- Not related to drugs of the same name. The HASH in HASHing refers to leftover food items combined to make the next days meal.
- Not only for elite athletic competitive runners. Slow runners as well as walkers are very welcome.
- Not a drunken brawl. We like to run/walk and drink beer, sometimes at the same time. We do not want people who only come to drink. Drinking beer is part of the Hash culture and part of the fun. However, you are welcome to stick to soft drinks.
- No sense of humour? Then Hashing is probably not for you.
HASHing is:
- A non-competitive run / walk organised in over 1,700 locations around the globe.
- A great way to meet fun people from diverse backgrounds in a very informal setting. The exercise gets those endorphins flowing and the beer fine-tunes the mood.
- Part of the fun is letting your hair down. Risqué jokes and double-meanings are encouraged and Hashers are given obscure Hash names to foster a casual atmosphere.
Cost:
- 200,000vnd – this includes bus trip, water, beer, soft drinks, a snack… and the pre-set Hash running/hiking trail.
- 100,000vnd for permanent Nha Trang Vietnamese residents (all other Vietnamese pay 200,000vnd).
- Half price for children under the age of 12 years.
